📢 Registration Open: Two-Week Orientation Programme on Indian Grammatical Tradition!
The Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru, invites applications for a Two-Week Orientation Programme on Indian Grammatical Tradition, scheduled from 31 August to 14 September 2026.
The programme offers an in-depth exploration of India's rich grammatical heritage, covering the foundations and evolution of grammatical traditions from Sanskrit, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Prakrit, Pali, and other Indian languages with discussions on texts such as the Kātantra/Kalāpa, Sarasvatīkaṇṭhābharaṇa, Navya Vyākaraṇa, Vākyapadīya, and Tolkāppiyam.
Renowned scholars will deliver lectures on classical grammatical texts and their relevance to contemporary linguistic research, language documentation, computational linguistics, and language education.

📚 Individuals with a background in Linguistics, Sanskrit, Indian Knowledge Systems, Language Studies, or allied disciplines.

📍 Selected participants will be provided accommodation by CIIL, Mysuru, and eligible candidates will receive TA reimbursement as per CIIL/Government of India norms.
